Futon Tokyo makes traditional Japanese cotton futons by hand in our own Tokyo workshop. Our company, Mori Seimenjo, was founded in 1871, and we continue to prepare and layer cotton using techniques passed down through generations. Our collection includes futon mattresses and quilts, zabuton cushions, bedding covers, and Japanese tatami mats. We value natural materials, simple forms, and practical comfort, bringing Japanese bedding into everyday life in contemporary homes.

Futon Tokyo Brings Japanese Futon Craftsmanship to Maison&Objet Paris

At Maison&Objet Paris (14–18 January 2027), Futon Tokyo presents Japanese futons, zabuton cushions, bedding covers and tatami mats. Founded in 1871, Mori Seimenjo continues the craft of handmade cotton futons in its Tokyo workshop. Highlights include Cotton Wa, a GOTS-certified organic cotton shikifuton developed with French designer Audrey Bigouin.
