Description

Papilio deiphobus is a species of machaon butterfly. It is one of the few to be practically all black. At least on the upper side, because if he closes his wings, he shows yellow patterns on the lower part. It is found from the Molluccas Islands to the Sulawesi in Indonesia. The wingspan is 130-160 millimetres. Larvae feed on citrus species.
