People of Africa express themselves through adornment of the body. My African and Turkish heritage inspired these prayer bead sculptures for the home. The recycled glass beads are from Ghana, rare bronze, Hausa tribe Nigeria and hand dyed merino wool tassel. They are the rosary, the mala, the tesbih and komboloi ‘worry bead’, our common talisman.
