Product description

“I suddenly felt like using inlay technique, so I made a cut on a moon jar after it had been bisque fired. It went against the steps usually followed in inlay work. I used this new technique in the Buncheong style, and that became my trademark piece,” Yon said. “The usual method results in clean lines in the inlay, but my work on Buncheong produces lines that are rough, and the knife marks appear on the surface. The technique felt right for me because you can immediately see the result of your work.” Her works also stand out in that their surfaces have a semi-matte finish.
