ToTo Ceramic’s works include table- ware designed for Korean food and other pieces for everyday use, and their main clients include hotels, resorts and high-end restaurants. Kim and Shin work only by hand but are still able to maintain high output while producing diverse designs because they use the slab technique. “The wheel can be used for diverse designs, but it is difficult to produce large volumes of the same design. The casting technique can produce large quantities, but it takes a long time to complete one design,” Kim said.
