Product description

Yeo Kyung-lan, who operates the workshop Yeogi-Damki, is known for her use of folk paintings. Her relationship with folk paintings began from a book of Korean folk paintings she came across by chance in library. “As I turned the pages, the folk paintings were so interesting. The colors, the meaning captured in them, every- thing was so interesting,” she said. “I wanted to use such fresh colors, and capture the symbolism. After that, she began researching ways to incorporate folk paintings into pottery in her post graduate studies, and made clay tigers, dolls and other decorative objects.
