Product description
Inspired by the iconic jackets of fashion myth Coco Chanel, Bouclé 1 is Milanese design studio SoFar SoNear’s iconic concept for the Couture Collection. Derived from the French word meaning ‘curled’, bouclé can refer to a yarn, made from a series of looped fibre. Chanel discovered the functionality of inexpensive tweed fabric in the 30s and began, somewhat revolutionarily, using the rough, unfinished wool. In the 50s, she started to experiment with buckled tweed, the perfect fabric for her tailored, but slightly loose jacket for women. The rest is history. Here couture meets carpet art.
