Product description
This rug is the product of a collaboration with Professor Craig S. Kaplan a computer science professor at the Univeristy of Waterloo, Canada. Parquet Deformations are a kind of "spatial animation": a tiling of the plane from shapes that gradually evolve in space. In an article in the Scientific American, Douglas Hofstadter defined it as 'Patterns of Tiles That Shift Gradually in One Dimension'. In this pattern the 10 point star changes in shape almost imperceptibly from one end of the rug to the other. More Design carpets
