From our Gabbehs Flora & Fauna Collection, these original designs find inspiration in animal skins and pelts. One of our latest creations for the collection is woven using 100% highland wool from the Zagros Mountains region of Iran. These Gabbehs are woven by tribal women and are principally used as 'bedding blankets' by the nomadic Ghashgha'i tribes of the Fars region. The design is realised using a maximum of three to four colours. There is a subtle abrash running through the undyed wool ground that delivers the texture and fluidity of the design.
