Product description
These baskets are handmade by BaTonga craftswomen in the Munyumbwe region of southern Zambia. To make these baskets, the craftswomen use mainly palm leaves (malala), twigs (nsamu) and creeping vine (tende), strong materials that guarantee a long life for the baskets. The baskets hold special place in Tonga culture, where they are given to girls when they get married.
