Suspension Baladeuse calabash of Mali. Calabash, or gourd, is a species of annual herbaceous plants of the cucurbit family, cultivated as a vegetable plant for its characteristic fruit also known as the calabash. This fruit has been used in the dry state since prehistoric times in all parts of the world to make various objects. Black exterior, embellished with a braided leather bead from Mali and brass ball joint (Each piece is unique). Diameter: approx. 25/30 cm.
