This glass series applies Japanese true gold leaf to the Patrician glassware serviec designed by Josef Hoffman, central member of the Vienna Secession and cofounder of the Wiener Werkstatte.
The work is an homage to Viennese culture, including such figures as Klimt and the Hapsburg family, and represents an international aesthetic that combines Japanese gold leaf technique with Austrian blown kali crystal.
