The program that respects the future
To encourage the advent of a more natural economy, we have decided to adopt a specific working plan, Circle: by placing the product within a total vision, we give value to circularity. With Circle, we have started out on a path of giving new beauty to recycled materials, through a programme of eco-sustainable products resulting from a complex, high-precision procedure which processes secondary raw materials. With Circle, we integrate sustainability into our business model to an even greater extent, adding a circularity approach to the durability and recyclability that have always been key characteristics of Guzzini collections. Fratelli Guzzini’s goal for the coming years is to extend this production method to embrace other product categories. Sustainable development means believing in a future that’s not yet here. Designing an environmentally responsible product means the ability to integrate systems, raw materials, transformation industries, designers, producers, logistics firms and distribution chains. It means a different way of designing and distributing, and implies a focus on health and nature. It is a cultural process, an opportunity to make a difference every day, offered to genuinely aware people, beyond mere slogans. With Circle, we are creating a cycle good for people and nature. Circle is not just a collection of products made from recycled plastics: it is an entire system, which combines the recycling of water and detergent bottles after use, the start-up of a chain which cleans them and reduces them to flakes, and resolves a series of technical and design problems to enable the use of these recycled flakes for moulding new objects. There are also educational benefits: Circle makes people aware that their own good practices are important for the environment and the future.
