Amarola
Alejandro Alcántara's new establishment decorated by MisterWils
Spanish chef Alejandro Alcántara, who already owns two restaurants in Madrid and Seville, has opened a new restaurant in his native province of Cadiz, in the town of Puerto de Santa María. This Chef, with an impeccable background, is known for his participation in the television show MasterChef, as well as for his success with his restaurant Bache San Pedro, in Seville, visited by Barak Obama. Now his new gastronomic concept is called Amarola. According to Alcántara himself in an article for a local newspaper, he will base the menu of his restaurant on three main pillars: rice, grilled meat and, of course, local fish. In this context, Bruno Bermúdez and Adrián Gómez, both from the interior design department of MisterWils, created a space where natural materials take center stage. Our interior designers are particularly comfortable with the eco-friendly trend, which is completely in vogue today, and they have no problem integrating it with the Mediterranean style. The use of furniture made of natural materials, untreated and even recycled wood, earthy and natural colors, has created a most welcoming atmosphere, which invites you to rest and enjoy the cuisine of this international chef. The establishment is divided into three very distinct areas, the terrace, the glass roof and the interior. Each area has its own furnishings and the details are tailored to each room. The superb terrace on a platform that is practically on the sea attracts particular attention. The canopy is at street level and has very handcrafted, rough-looking teak wood high tables that add a very rural touch to the overall aesthetic. Rope or rattan chairs take center stage, a custom bench upholstered in gray and with beautiful cushions accompany the overall color scheme in earth tones. Upon entering the interior, in the living room, a round dining table with a feather fiber lamp, entirely handmade, is the centerpiece of the place, surrounded by wooden and black rope chairs that break with the harmony of the establishment. The custom upholstered benches stand out, like the outdoor one, they invite us to relax in a space designed for that. Texture on the walls thanks to lime mortar, terracotta carafes, vases too, tapestries with ethnic touches hanging on the walls... this is the interior design project imagined by Bruno Bermúdez, a place made to disconnect and enjoy good food surrounded by a dose of nature and craftsmanship.
