Capza Paris
CAPZA PARIS
Since its inception in 2004, Capza has become an established European private investment platform focusing on small & mid-cap companies. As a result of the company’s sustained growth, Capza has once again chosen to trust Cider and the architecture firm LM Marfisi for the extension of its headquarters located in Paris’s central 7th arrondissement. The context The commission for the new wing provided the perfect opportunity for Cider to further refine the distinctive concept developed for this project: an environment where the company’s 80 collaborators can feel comfortable and energised immersed in a decor that sets the tone and exemplifies Capza’s values, a place where the community of entrepreneurs who have earned the firm’s support can feel welcome. Within a very short period of time, Cider’s team was able to select furniture that truly reflects the vision of the architects at LM Marfisi. Different words come to mind as visitors first step into the space — “trust”, “intelligence”, and “warmth” are among them. A sense of refined simplicity celebrating openness is palpable in every part of the premises, from the wall-clad lobby to the light-filled glazed-ceiling hall opening onto the individual offices. The different spaces To create this warm, welcoming space, the architecture firm LM Marfisi has relied on the use of a dominant shade of blue, regularly interspersed by wooden accents and touches of old pink and rosewood. Throughout the entire project, the same secondary tones were used to calm or energise the mind. Working alongside clients with such a strong sense of aesthetics, Cider’s team had the pleasure of choosing furniture that combined quality with character, never losing sight of each piece’s context and function. In a bright continuum of rooms flooded with natural light — a perception further enhanced by the choice of white and light grey for the floors and ceilings —, Cider’s furnishings deliver pleasant and comfortable spaces for the enjoyment of Capza’s employees. Wood is prominently featured for its authentic feel and natural warmth. And the project’s palette conveys a sense of fresh and modern energy, but with a very zen vibe. In work areas, the whole decor is conducive to calm and focus. Each space is populated by the clean and efficient figure of “1.618” workstations, paired with “Slim” storage units, one of Cider Édition’s bestsellers. The facilities Sound isolation booths are provided all around the open-plan work areas, offering comfortable islands of concentration. They underline the importance of work efficiency in the employees’ daily experience of the space. Inside the formal meeting rooms, designer furniture is supplied, encapsulating a certain idea of timeless modernity: “Mila” conference chairs surround a majestic “T’S” walnut table featuring a top with rounded angles and legs with hidden wire management. In another room, we find the same “Mila” chairs, this time set around the elegant “Monceau” high table with its straight round legs in a black variation. Cider’s universe serving Capza Lastly, Capza’s aspiration to an open and welcoming work environment is also strongly expressed in the new extension of the headquarters: the design of the many informal spaces is evidence of the project’s focus on creating a friendly atmosphere. The lounge areas are the highlights of the headquarters, with furniture that invites people to connect and engage with each other in a luxurious setting as reassuring as it is refined. Naturally, some of the most outstanding designs in La Manufacture’s catalogue can be found there — for instance, the “Calice” chair by Patrick Norguet, as well as Nendo’s “Trio” coffee tables. And for a truly weightless sitting experience, guests will enjoy the “Valet” mobile sofa, the generous proportions of the “Kim” range and the spectacular silhouette of the “Queen” ear chair, in this instance in a bright and zesty yellow!
