"Alsace in a trophy"

Alsatian artisanal craftsmanship is celebrated through this trophy, which combines tradition and modernity by blending iconic materials from the region, such as wood, leather, sandstone, and "kelsch" fabric. The exterior surface is adorned with a marquetry design of wood and leather, reinterpreting the half-timbered architecture typical of the Alsace region. Approximately 200 leather and wood shards were hand-cut, assembled, and glued to create the marquetry pattern. At its core, the trophy pays tribute to gastronomy with a pleated white "kelsch" fabric, shaped to evoke the famous toque worn by chefs.
