TEQOYA to equip the Athletes' Village to ensure healthy air for athletes!

TEQOYA

Aware that air quality can have a significant impact on athletes' health and performance, the Société de Livraison des Ouvrages Olympiques (SOLIDEO) paid particular attention to the choice of solutions implemented in the Athletes' Village. The 1,500 housing units occupied by the athletes and their delegations during the upcoming Games will be equipped with ALDES ventilation systems incorporating TEQOYA's new e-filtration technology.

SOLIDEO (Société de Livraison des Ouvrages Olympiques) is building all the structures and facilities required for the 2024 competitions. More than 60 projects will see the light of day, including the emblematic Athletes' Village, designed to facilitate the reception and movement of no fewer than 14,000 athletes and delegations. Located less than 5 minutes from the Stade de France, the Village buildings are spread across the communes of Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen-Sur-Seine and Île-Saint-Denis. SOLIDEO's objective is clear: to develop a sustainable, environmentally-friendly real estate project based on innovation and French know-how in all its constructions. After the Games, SOLIDEO will be responsible for the conversion of all the structures involved in the event. The housing in the Athletes' Village will be returned to the three municipalities, giving way to sustainable city districts with housing, shops, offices, facilities and green spaces. To provide the best possible conditions for athletes from all over the world, the company has called on the expertise of ALDES and TEQOYA to equip the 1,500 housing units with their cutting-edge technology, guaranteeing continuous healthy air throughout the Games. A nerve center par excellence, the Athletes' Village will represent a safe and healthy environment in which to concentrate, train, rest and gather. "The main concern of the owners was to install an efficient ventilation system that would guarantee optimum indoor air quality, in line with SOLIDEO requirements, while being compatible, in terms of ease of installation, cost and usage, with both phases of housing use (Games and the Inheritance phase). Air inlets using TEQOYA technology were an ideal choice for this project! We are convinced that these air inlets will be an asset in guaranteeing optimal indoor air quality for athletes and future users." Confides Michel Bénard, Residential Market Director at ALDES E-filtration: an innovative, eco-responsible alternative to guarantee healthy air for athletes. Built close to a freeway, the Village is exposed to pollution peaks. SOLIDEO has taken the necessary steps to make the protection of athletes its priority, and to prevent the infiltration of particles, bacteria, pollens and allergens into the accommodation, by entrusting air purification to TEQOYA. The solutions developed by TEQOYA all meet the same objective: to protect people from continuous air pollution without impacting the planet. They are based on over 20 years of R&D and 7 patents, covering ozone-free air ionization, electrofiltration without electrical discharge, ion distribution in air streams, formaldehyde capture and filtering air inlets for building ventilation. Co-developed with the Aldes Group (French leader in building air quality), the EHT2 EFT2 filtering air inlet is an integrated filtration solution compatible with all CMVs to guarantee both renewed air and rid the air of external pollutants.Equipped with patented e-filtration technology, this solution offers an innovative, eco-responsible alternative to standard air filtration compatible with single-flow mechanical ventilation systems: high-performance, consumable-free, energy-efficient, easy to use and maintain. A solution to the problem of reconciling indoor air quality with the requirements of low-carbon buildings. "The filtering air inlet co-developed by ALDES and TEQOYA is a technical feat that brings a very high level of air filtration to residential buildings, with marginal energy consumption. We're very proud that this innovation will be used in the Athletes' Village," says Pierre Guitton, President of TEQOYA.
