Chronos Etchings
Chronos Etchings Presented at PULLMAN AMBASSADOR EASTPOLE Installation Art 3.5 × 3.9 × 2.2 m 11.5 × 12.8 × 7.2 ft Mixed Media 2025 “Chronos Etchings” is a symbolic artwork representing the 1937 Edition commemorating the 90th anniversary of Crown Goose Yacht. It embodies the transfigured form of a yacht’s original timber, reborn through a process of deconstruction and resurrection after a long voyage. Originating from a primordial seed, the timber assumes the role of arche, shrouded in the veil of time, layered with the strata of the past and the representations of the present upon the grain of the wood, and reconstituted into a new order. The spiral curves that envelop the bedding capture nature’s intrinsic grammar and the intuitive artistic values of humankind, reviving the eternal flow of time. The rhythmic structure of overlapping waves echoes like ripples, manifesting an ontological resonance between the tangible and the abstract through elemental materials. Ultimately, this work converges heritage inherited from past voyages with the unfolding trajectory of future journeys, transforming fabric into a sculptural medium that pierces the depths of the individual psyche—not as a commodity, but as a threshold into a multi-dimensional sensory journey. By exploring the boundaries between memory and oblivion, reality and illusion, materiality and immateriality, Crown Goose’s 90-year odyssey becomes a monumental declaration—a condensed aesthetic force transcending time and space, elevating life itself.
