THE RED COMES BACK by Julie Boucherat
MOM space - Maison & Objet 2026
Silva Mineralis is presented here through a dialogue of mineral tones and chromatic density. Within The Red Comes Back collective exhibition by Julie Boucherat for Maison & Objet, COKI introduces Silva Mineralis Ferruginea alongside Catharsis Bookends in Dusty Coral. Crafted from natural composite stone and botanical pigments, the pieces explore the expressive depth of iron-rich reds and coral hues, where matter, color, and form converge into quiet, sculptural presences. In particular, the vase Silva Mineralis Ferruginea is shaped from natural composite stone whose surface is embedded with Italian rock salt crystals, creating a deep ferruginous red where mineral matter, crystallisation, and color emerge directly from the material itself.
