Sculptural objects shaped through material research
COKI is an Italian design studio founded in 2017 by architect and material & craft artist Coki Barbieri. Working at the intersection of sculpture, design, and material research, the studio creates objects defined by process rather than form alone. Each piece emerges from an experimental dialogue between natural materials and ancient techniques, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. COKI develops a proprietary natural composite stone made exclusively from Italian mineral fragments, without cement or synthetic binders, alongside flame-worked glass shaped without molds.

Silva Mineralis is an ongoing series of sculptural vases developed by COKI through long-term material research. Made from natural composite stone enriched with Italian rock salt crystals, the works explore crystallisation, time, and the subtle interaction between matter and environment through slow, handcrafted processes.
