BISHOP
Born in 1999, the Bishop is India Mahdavi’s signature piece. It was originally designed as a bar stool. Throughout the years, the Bishop has evolved and has now entered the collection of Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The Bishop sits remarkably well inside as it does outside. It boosts a space with a sculptured profile. As a bedside table, as a stool, in a living room or in a bedroom, the Bishop’s defining feature is its versatility – it can sit anywhere as a colourful domestic emblem. Made in France.
Lmdc candles
Worthy of the most beautiful churches, or movie sets, their flame is perfect: high, intense, regular, without smoke or flow. These taper candles are manufactured in the Alpilles, by the last French candle maker, following the ancestral technique of “diving”: placed in a “U” shape on wooden sticks fixed on frames, the wicks are dipped in wax several times by the master candle maker. It is from this gesture that comes their unique conical shape. Their ingredients: beeswax and mineral wax, pigments natural, cotton wick, time and precision.
