Laurent Maugoust
Laurent Maugoust's work reflects the subtle duality of Parisian style in a truly relevant manner. Deeply attached to the history of the places he works in, this interior designer envisions his projects through the lens of his streamlined, timeless aesthetic. He plays with the stylistic conventions of the Haussmannian model, and all that is specific to him: expert skill, fine craftsmanship, and the finest materials are the very foundation of his projects. For the last fifteen years, he has been working on high-end hotel projects in Paris, throughout France, and all over the world. The most recent include the interiors for the Le Roosevelt Hotel in Nice, the Le Bowmann establishment in Paris, and the Victor Hugo Kléber. Laurent Maugoust also designed the Suite space at the Design Pavilion for the 2020 edition of the Equip’Hotel trade fair, where he questioned today's new needs and practices in hospitality with great vision. Vital societal shifts brought on by the health crisis, as well as climate change, are some of the subjects he reflects on every day. To celebrate fifteen years of creativity, interior designer Laurent Maugoust launched his namesake design house, in collaboration with Cécile Chénais, Creative Director.
