ENJOY: IN SEARCH OF PLEASURE
Peclers Paris, the creative strategy consultancy and prospective trends agency, has come up with ENJOY, in quest of pleasures, the theme of the next edition of Maison&Objets. This exploration of the new strategies for "living well" dreamed up by three tribes of consumers, will be brought to life by the Peclers Paris’ trendforecasters in a 150m2 inspiration forum, Inspire me! We asked them to tell us about these three tribes through a few objects from the MOM selection.
Nutty
Festive decadents Playing with appearances, they adopt a theatrical relationship with the self, making the false, the excessive and the decadent essential components of the image they project to others. To present each facet of their identities in a unique way, this tribe transforms everyday artefacts into status vectors of singularity. Uninhibitedly adopting assertive and precious aesthetics, they draw on the codes of glamour and theatre.

With her project “Stages of the ordinary”, Hanna shines a new light on pre-industrial ornamental products, with the intention of sharing their forgotten communicative potential and their functionality. Amongst others, this design method has resulted in a contemporary reinterpretation of a coffee pot, that had a coffee pot from the Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam, NL) as a starting point. This new interpretation has both decorative as practical value.

Collective optimists transform their lives into an experimental playground, where they can collectively reconnect with a simple and instantaneous form of happiness. To sketch out the contours of this happy society, individuals are immersing themselves in new imaginaries that are resolutely creative and collective, referencing childhood and adolescence as aesthetic territories quintessential to joy , and drawing on new formal and chromatic registers, where experimentation and encounters with others take centre stage.
