Animal Hug is an animal-shaped portable washi tape dispenser. Attach the Hug around a roll of tape by gently bending the animal’s legs. Roll out the tape and rip with the jagged edge located on the animals bottom. The appearance of the animal tightly hugging a roll of tape is very humorous. Attached to your favorite colored tape, it becomes a fun little tabletop decoration. Hugs are entirely made of natural fiber paper, so it is soft to the touch and safe. Artisans hand paint the pictures directry on each piece using "Gosu", an indigo pigment from Cobalt. It is also decorated in gold. Pierced & Clip on earrings are available. There are five different candles, all with a motif of a different plant that grows in the Noto Peninsula. The candles are all named after a letter of the word ‘plant’.

A matte white or black paint is applied to enhance the natural, organic texture of the cherry bark, emphasizing its unique irregularities. This approach also allows for the use of materials that were traditionally challenging to incorporate, making it possible to utilize limited resources more efficiently. Inside, the tea caddy is crafted using traditional techniques, with the polished red finish creating a striking contrast against the matte exterior.
