MAISON&OBJET : WHAT’S NEW? “DECOR”
The WHAT'S NEW? IN DECOR - Hall 7 - by Elizabeth Leriche continues to provide a sense of the show's overall inspiration. Thanks to her creativity and sensitivity, the trend expert translates her vision of the Sur/Reality theme into concrete décor - via a selection of products she picks from exhibitors.
ACCESSORIES
The ceramic objects of the 101 Copenhagen collection are all characterized by a sculptural, geometric form alternating between soft, quirky and playful human silhouettes and strict, minimalist architectural lines. The main inspiration behind the collections derives from art and architecture, and each object thrives to stand out in a crowd with its distinctive matte textured surface, chunky silhouette and sculptural aesthetic.
Venus
Between an undulating surface and a voluptuous curve, Venus is a blown glass luminaire that explores traditional techniques for processing molten glass. When suspended, its organic and graceful shape reveals a visual lightness that illuminates the space. Each metal wire that hangs the room is a low voltage current conductor that powers a glass tube containing the LED light source. This discretion in the fixings gives the object the impression of floating in the middle of the space. Designer: Sophia TAILLET

Cleopatra - Lladró handmade High Porcelain Limited Edition
This exclusive High Porcelain piece, made in matte porcelain, is a limited edition of 500 units. Worth underscoring is the painstaking ornamentation of the whole sculpture, from the clothing to the throne or the staffs she is holding in her hand. Equally of note is the profuse decoration using notes of glazed and matte gold, combined with a mix of coppery and pearly colors and metallic blue and green effects that give the piece a sense of majesty. Here, Cleopatra appears as the great queen she was, enhanced by the neme, the characteristic striped blue and gold headcloth worn by the pharaohs.
Isola
The Isola stool or table is a handcrafted masterpiece in Murano glass. Each piece is unique, moulded by Venetian craftsmen through manual workmanship and mouth-blowing techniques. It is distinguished by its large size and intricate design, truly one-of-a-kind. The Topazio version features the Pulegoso effect, with its characteristic bubbles, known as puleghe, created by adding sodium bicarbonate to the molten glass, giving it an eye-catching texture.
