Alexis Tricoire
As a Botanical Design Pioneer, Alexis Tricoire has been rethinking the role that nature plays in our societies for over 15 years now. After a decade as an independent designer of furniture, lighting, interior design, and installations, Alexis Tricoire chose to take new roads in design with the inclusion of all that is botanical, with his collaboration in 2006 as a designer and installation creator for the "Folies Végétales" exhibition of botanist Patrick Blanc at the Espace EDF Electra. Ever since, he has focused on studying a new form of urban living, where connections to the botanical world are reinvigorated by his artistic and design-oriented eye. Renowned for the impact of his multi-sensory and technological settings, he has been invited to create a number of furnishings, objects, lighting sets, and monumental sculptures throughout the world. He examines each project with an innovative and committed approach, both in terms of well-being in the urban milieu and in protecting the planet. His work respects the principles of eco-design and shares the values of those engaged on the road to sustainable development.
