Rebecca Anne Proctor is Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar Art Arabia, Harper’s Bazaar Interiors and Villa 88 magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication for Emirati women. Born in New London, Connecticut, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Humanistic Studies from John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. She has an M. Litt in Modern and Contemporary Art History from Christie’s Education in London where she completed a dissertation on Afro-Cuban Religious Influences in Post Revolutionary Cuban Art: Redefining National Identity, and a dual-degree MA in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from the American University of Paris and the Institut Catholique de Paris. She previously worked for the Gagosian Gallery in London, the Barakat Gallery in Abu Dhabi and Ayyam Gallery in Dubai. Her work has been published in Canvas, BBC, T Emirates: The New York Times Style Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East, Shawati’, Mojeh, Luxos, Art Observed, Ultratravel US, and Haute Living, among other titles.
