ANN DE MEULEMEESTER - SERAX

Lighting by Ann Demeulemeester

PORCELAIN Both functional and aesthetic, ribbons have always played an important role in Ann Demeulemeester's fashion. In this lighting collection, it's no different: very fine porcelain ribbons give the lamps a very personal design while offering a beautifully temperate and reflective light. VISCOSE Tactility, contrast and poetry are the main assets of this unusual collection. No invisible objects that illuminate in a corner, but pieces demonstrating the power of thousands of hand-painted viscose threads.

ANN DE MEULEMEESTER - SERAX

Various by Ann Demeulemeester-Serax

This collection of objects is the third that Ann Demeulemeester is releasing at Serax. It explores two ancient typologies - vase and lamp – in such a way that a new category was created from their merger: the vase lamp, which turns a flower into a light source. Or: how to sculpt with light.

MAISON DADA

Sumo sofa

The Sumo sofa is a nod to the martial art that is Sumo. Only practiced professionally in Japan, Sumo is the epitome of tradition, identity and strength. With four strong legs and a sturdy silhouette, Sumo is firmly anchored to the ground. However, if the armchair is the very image of perseverance, its rare shape, its soft lines and its leather seat give it elegance and stature. Like Hiroko Matsumoto, Pierre Cardin's muse and the first Japanese model to participate in Parisian fashion shows, Sumo is a rising star.

NANIMARQUINA

Silhouette

nanimarquina presents Silhouette, a collection of rugs for indoor and outdoor use that highlights the acclaimed casual style of the Valencian designer and artist. Depicted with a delicate stroke, the illustration defines the silhouettes of several imaginary characters that intertwine and coexist in a beautiful composition. Hayón subtly introduces color through small elements brimming with personality that help to interpret each of the images. Nine faces are distributed at different angles so that the rug can be viewed from any perspective, fitting perfectly in any space.

VALERIE OBJECTS

inner circle by maarten baas

Maarten Baas is renowned for his playful objects that evoke the imperfection of the human hand instead of the straight line of the machine. For his new collaboration with valerie_objects, it is no different. Inner Circle is a large set of tableware objects, from plate to water can, contriving that typical human and playful Maarten Baas feel. Every object is a materialisation of imperfect circles that Baas drew by hand. The irregular shapes combine well, making it easy to create an organic composition on the dinner table.
