During the 1960s and 1970s, the company CHANTEGRET (taken over this day by Mr SOZEDDE) renowned at the time for the creation and distribution of kitchen utensils, created, among other things, openwork baskets and extendable stainless steel trivets. Antoine Bourassin
Antoine Bourassin, who holds a Masters in History, has always been fascinated by history with a small "h". His "Trésors Publics" project pays tribute to the most humble objects of yesteryear, whose forms followed their function. These small, everyday objects from another era are most often connected to a specific city, specific expert skill, or certain traditional trades. They evoke an era not so long ago, when distance work didn't exist…These objects are like old friends that time has erased from our memories. Seeing them again, touching them, smelling them elicits emotions and symbolizes a whole way of life. Trésors Publics brings together, in one space, a constantly evolving selection of products Made in France. Their first shop opened in Nice in 2017, and others will soon follow around France and internationally.
