Evolving Patterns

The term “Evolving Patterns” which has been coined by Professor Craig S Kaplan is used because it is a looser definition than “Parquet Deformations. The latter has been described by Douglas Hofstadter as "a subtle, intricate art form". Parquet deformations can be regarded as a kind of spatial animation moving from one side of the rug to the other.
