The glaze paints the picture. Shaped by the kiln’s flames, the clay, and the glaze, each piece reveals a one-of-a-kind landscape.
KASHIWACRAFT is a pottery studio founded in 1965 in Seto, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns. Rooted in our original Gaba slip-casting technique, we create warm, expressive ceramic pieces shaped by red clay, flame, and glaze. During firing, slight distortions and painterly glaze effects emerge naturally, making every piece unique. We value the quiet beauty of these variations and craft each object to bring warmth, character, and lasting presence to everyday life.
