Description

9 blue butterflies of the same family -Nymphalidae- but from different continents: The smallest ones are from Madagascar (Junonia Rhadama) they live in the grasslands, wild or not. The largest ones Anaea Cyanea are called double blue butterflies and they come from Peru. And the medium ones, also from Peru, Asterope Leprieuri Optima is in fact also a double blue, with the dorsal sides of the wings with a strong dark blue, and paler margins. They can be seen all year round, but are most common from September to November. And even more easy to observe under a brass and glass display...
