Orogenesis comes from the ancient Greek óros “hill, mountain” associated with “genesis” and defines the set of geodynamic processes by which mountain ranges are constituted. Behind this scientific term is the intention of greater control of the patterns inside the glass itself thanks to the constraints of a mold associated with specific processes. Thus, just like mountains that rise thanks to tectonic forces, glass deforms and merges in an enclosed environment and then gains in thickness.
