Product description

The Wooden Mosaic Cabinet is constructed from individually sawn wooden elements that have been joined together to form a continuous surface. Although the whole appears structured, the composition contains no repeating pattern. The surface is reminiscent of a mosaic, rather than repetition, the cabinet is based on a continuous adaptation between unique parts, with each element shaped to fit precisely into the surrounding structure. This creates a surface that appears ordered from a distance, but upon closer inspection reveals its randomness within a seamless whole. The construction resembles a stack of wood fragments, compressed into a uniform whole. The cabinet explores how order can emerge without repetition, and how apparent randomness can nonetheless lead to cohesion through careful alignment and assembly.
