An encounter between memory and material. This diptych was born from the meeting of antique doilies—discovered during my searches—and the enveloping softness of wool. Once intended to adorn interiors, these textile fragments carry within them the delicacy of traditional craftsmanship and traces of a bygone era. I patiently starched them, then integrated them into a wool composition with generous volume, where textures intertwine and respond to one another. Here, white becomes a canvas for expression: it reveals contours, highlights the intricacy of the lace, and allows the lightness of these vintage pieces to engage in a dialogue with the sculptural presence of the wool. Bridging heritage and contemporary creation, this diptych celebrates the beauty of materials, the poetry of forgotten objects, and the possibility of granting them a new story. A unique textile work, in which softness takes on physical form and the past becomes a fresh source of inspiration.
