VERNACULARIO I is a contemporary mural made of natural fibers, entirely made, handmade in France. The first creation of the Vernaculario series, this piece explores the encounter between organic forms of living beings and the traces left by vernacular cultures. The sculpted volumes seem to emerge from the surface while the more graphic lines evoke a silent memory, transformed by time.Composed of wool from Portugal, wool from New Zealand and linen, this work combines different textures and levels of relief in order to make its expression evolve with the passage of light. Its sober and organic language allows it to dialogue both with contemporary architecture and with more mineral or heritage interiors, where it brings depth, softness and presence. Each piece is entirely handmade in our workshop in France using a process combining manual tufting and fiber carving. Variations in material and relief bear witness to artisanal expertise at the service of contemporary artistic creation. Vernaculario I is a unique piece, numbered and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.
