Product description
Kintsugi/ The form is inspired by a philosophy of the Japanese art of pottery repairing – “Kintsugi”. Kintsugi treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. We created a new casting method inspired by this ancient technique to repair cracked Jesmonite with bronze powder. Black/ Inspired by Japanese Eggshell Inlaying technique – Rankaku Patina/ Jesmonite plates are buried in wet dust for few days to develop a certain texture and colour. While we wait patiently to harvest the re Jesmonite plate comes together with brass incense holder.
