NGE Naturals
A lesser known ethnic group in southern Laos, the Nge are known for producing soft cotton textiles with earthy natural hues derived from tree bark, leaves, and fruit. Nge artisans use centuries old, foot-braced backstrap looms to create these artistic geometric patterns and motifs depicting the world around them such as pounding rice, playing music, farming, and conducting spiritual ceremonies. They weave sumptuously soft textiles with traditional patterns using geometric precision that translates beautifully into contemporary spaces.
