"I wanted to extract the steel from the mass that enveloped it, to create a dialogue between structure and surface. The concrete is spontaneously attributed to hardness, angles, cold, imposing, rigid, heavy; an outdated form of modernity. I make it a sensitive material although rough, light in its mass, capable of flexibility, perhaps even of tenderness. "
