Ceramic workshop founded in 2017 by Kenichiro and Mirjam Watajima in Hasami, a town near Arita, where porcelain has been produced for over four hundred years. Everything is handmade, with an eye for detail. The workshop works as a team rather than as a hierarchy: its founders compare it to a music group, where everyone takes a solo or accompanies depending on the piece.
It all starts at the table
New forms are born from the meals in the workshop. They make what they want to use, and only the parts that stick to use are made. Everyday tableware, which nevertheless has its own personality.
The workshop went from a gas oven to an electric oven, works with renewable electricity, and revised its packaging to reduce waste: to weigh as little as possible on the environment, in their own words.
