Swo Antic Mesa Grande transposes Swo's original silhouette to the scale of a table lamp. Inspired by the figures of peasant women in the rice fields of Thailand and Cambodia, it combines a sinuous body in varnished iroko with a large lampshade evoking a hat. The contrast between the discreet support of the body and the magnitude of the lampshade creates an expressive visual tension. The ecru cotton surrounds a diffuser printed on a backlight support: the image is revealed when the lamp is switched on, testifying to a stage of design prior to the use of silk in the Madame Swo family.The lampshade is oriented by ball joint, while the remote control allows you to adjust the intensity and color temperature. The burnished iron and brass profile complete this handcrafted piece from the original Swo Antic version.
