IRINGA BASKET, TANZANIA
Product description
The baskets are made in Tanzania in the Iringa region, which has a long history of basket weaving and is also home to the Hehe people. Iringa baskets are woven from milulu grass, a reed-like marsh grass that grows near the town of Iringa. Used for storage but also as a decorative piece, these baskets are very durable and can be rinsed with water if you wish to reshape or clean them!
