Australia is a paradox, both ancient and youthful. Innate gives rise to a new interpretation of that paradox. Informal relaxed and sensual, it seeks to express the very essence of Australia, to celebrate the values and intrinsic ideologies born from or response to the land we inhabit. The Innate textile collection of bath towels and soft furnishings is a collaboration between two ardent disciples of textile design, Fiona Spence and Wanda Jelmini. More than a desire to bring beauty, craft and meaning to the everyday, Innate aspires to define a contemporary Australian aesthetic.
