the shopping cart table is made from four legs taken from discarded shopping carts, which i received from a local garden centre,i was drawn to the elegant, curved shape of the frames and the way they naturally create a strong and almost sculptural base,by bringing four of these elements together, i turned them into the structure of a table while keeping their original characterand recognisable form, what was once a simple functional part of a shopping cart now becomes the defining feature of the table, the base is finished with a 12 mm thick tempered waterjet-cut glass top, creating a clean and refined surface above the playfulstructure, eight bright red shopping cart wheels complete the table, adding a small but striking reference to its original purpose
