Tie sofa 2024 brings together exceptional comfort and the sculptural beauty of solid wood. KOMA’s master craftsman and designer, Shigeki Matsuoka, personally shapes and finishes each distinctive backrest by hand, using traditional Japanese tools such as kanna planes and carving blades. Every complex curve is carefully refined to follow the human body, providing comfort in a variety of sitting positions. What makes Tie sofa 2024 truly unique is not only the craftsmanship behind each piece, but our ability to reproduce this highly refined form consistently by hand. It embodies KOMA’s pursuit of furniture where craftsmanship, design, and comfort become one.
