This new design is a fusion of two much-loved collections: Multiple Trees and Into the Woods. The use of motifs and colours are inspired by nature and by the traditional, classical, and tribal lexicon of Persian artistic expression. Here, traditional tree motifs (particularly cypresses symbolic of the 'Persian Garden') rest on a colour-banded ground – an almost realistic marking of the time of day or the season. Some of these archaic motifs and ornaments had vanished from the weavers’ repertoire. This is yet another way Zollanvari show their commitment to the concept of sustainability… Plus de Tapis design
