Description produit
Bonfires combines two motifs from Persian tribal iconography: that of rhombus (made of triangles – symbol of woman) and boteh (according to some a convergence of a floral spray and a cypress tree: a Zoroastrian symbol of life and eternity, and according to others, representing a mother with child). Cryptogram fuses two common patterns in Persian Gabbehs: rhombus medallions (triangles symbolising women) and linear borders wedged within two layers of horizontal stripes (rectangles symbolising men) of bold colours.Metropolis: Landscapes in Gabbehs are often naïf and stylised.
