Collaboration Myriam Beltz for nuuna
"Let the lines be free" - About the drawings, by Myriam Beltz.
Every day, the artist Myriam Beltz would write her thoughts down in a notebook. At a certain point, rather than the words themselves, only the curved lines would remain. Since then, the artist has been composing her “Daily Drawings” – a drawing for every day, as a fixed routine. Initially, Beltz worked figuratively, but over time her formal language became increasingly abstract. For the covers of her nuuna art edition, the artist has chosen drawings that convey both: “Lines”, “Dots” and “Friends” are the titles of each of the three books – according to Beltz, everything she needs to be happy. The delicate motifs, which bring the special quality of drawing by hand to the fore, are screen-printed onto the covers, which are made of vegan jeans-label material. Inside, everything is as expected: premium paper complete with dot grids – for your very own personal notebook routines.
