OMA LIGHT DESIGN BARCELONA

OMALIGHT is a lighting design workshop established in Barcelona in 2008. The lights are designed and manufactured by sculptor-designer Omar Sherzad following a special line, offering objects that combine utility and art.

The manufacturing process is completely handmade, mainly made out of wood incorportaing some brass and blown glass elements. The woods are carefully chosen in terms of quality and certified origin, often tropical, and they are carved and turned by hand. They form the body of the lamp. The lampshades are manufactured from blown glass, and spinned and hammered brass.
