L'INDOCHINEUR PARIS HANOI : Collections

Mat Trang is a collection of natural stone receptacles (soapstone). It is inspired by the Vietnamese culture beliefs in the polarity between the Sun and Moon. Both are complementary deities portraying the cyclical aspect of life. Mat Trang is thus conceived as a constellation of pieces: the solar aspect of the brass and the dark aspect of lacquer are associated with the materiality of the stone. These boxes have been produced for different uses, for kitchen, bathroom or offce. They are all multi-purpose and valuable objects for the interior.
